Calling out at a Canyon

Gentlemen,

It has come to my attention, as a sudden surge of mystification followed by regret, that where our once proud and tall pillar of intellect and comradery stood be now cursed by debris and silence. Gone whereth had our original ambitions, and gone whereth had our pretentious self-declared superiority led us?

Back in the beginning, when we were editing footages of Terrence falling into a river in Video Club, there was a and a necessarily subtle understanding of how each of us stood out, among all the walking zombie sheeps of memes and contemporary trends. Each of us stood out because we see things, we thought, and we questioned, on top of looking, hearing, and nodding. We formed the Vigils of Reason in the initiative of making changes, or, at the time, of preparing to make changes.

However, since the partially successful but short-lives revival attemped followed by infiltration of Captain Quacky whom the identity I have no clue of, our league was left in the dust as each of us discovered, pursued, and expanded our ideals and expressed those ideals in the decisions that we made and the manner of which we lived out our lives.

It had been nearly 4 years since our last actual post.

What's changed about you? What did you look back and realize you've been holding dear to your heart the entire time?

rethinking the the role of formal education in my life.

MANIFESTO OF INTELLECTUAL VIGILANCE

Hark, fellow VOR-member/person-who-is literate-and-has-possession-of-computer-and-is-currently-wasting-time-on-the-Internet:

Following a year-long hiatus in blog activity in 2009, we have seen a brief resurgence in frontal lobe activity (albeit quite busy and, frankly, progressively filled with trash posts). However, we have once again elapsed into the busy void of essential brain-death. Schoolwork, drug use, and other mundane distractions (maybe not drugs) have slaughtered our inner rebels and placed us under the charm of complacency.

Comrades, here I promulgate this call to intellectual arms! Break free, once again, of the chains of conventional wisdom. Speak out against the injustice of the world (and the things that people think aren't injustices, and the things that people think are but really aren't). Stoke that great flame once more.

Of course, I fully urge all posters to refrain from sharing material more suitable for Facebook or other prole-feed sites. If you try burning wasted tires in the great VOR flame, you will be greeted with toxic fumes (and if you burn expensive antique furniture... wait, scratch that analogy). In addition, I personally think the general format is currently a bit messy, especially the rather disorganized labelling system. These issues shall be tackled once this blog sees significant participation.


May the fire light our way for the entire night.

Some Updates of VOR (end of Nov.) and others

So I've just checked our Blog Archive:
In October (The resurrection of VOR), we had 54 Posts in total. which is alot, i agree, its abit too much, and force posting proved to be an effective tactic.

But this month (November), we only have 24 posts, which i actually think is fine, as long as we don't drop below the 20 mark, around 0.78 post per day is fine.

So I strongly encourage everyone to continue posting. :)

Some Questions About the New Blog

1, Are we allowed to post random things like that math website or what happened in school today? Or only politics and other "world" news?

2, Do we get kicked out if we can't post something "educational" or "acadamic" everyday?

UNIVERSAL LIBERALIZATION

The world has steadily become more and more left-handed (left-leaning and weaker like all lefties) in terms of political entropy - i.e. more trash floats around in the media. Created then, is a disturbing blending of factual information with idiotic falsities. A good example is all the current "science" shows on TV with no real science involved.

Another example comes from juxtaposing the current content of our blog with that of the good old days before VOR corruption: http://vigilsofreason.blogspot.com/2008/12/universe-trivia.html#comments. Then, even a mildly stupid post could be subject to my Big Brother treatment. Now, all chaos runs amok.

Up with Big Brother.
