Taiwan's infamous Ex-president Chen Shui-bian is tried on the 9th in Taipei's High Court. After being setenced to life in jail because of corruption, Chen see another glimpse of hope to escape his life behind bar: that is, to pay the bail and leave. You may have thought that Chen would have came into court solemn and regretfully. However, he was in a suit, unhandcuffed, and even smiling. Whether Chen will pay the bail or not will be the decision of the court and the Honorable Judge Tsai.
Not mentioning the tense situation. There were both supporters and "red-shirt" people showing their perspective on this issue. The Red people are the remnants of the famous depose in 2006 when Shih urged Chen to step down.
