The zealots of green have called people to surround the meeting grounds. I am glad they are speaking up for (actually, against) themselves. Someone said,「革命時代不缺紳士，只缺勇士！」. They would really be 勇士, for what they are protesting against will not be seen as 陳雲林 or even China. These protests are against peace across the strait. Of course, even if something terrible happens, mainland will have no intentions to break this peace we have now.
Many people are saying "Taiwan is not a part of China". I am sorry to say, they all failed their geography tests, because it is. However, 中華民國 (something zealots of green have suddenly become a patriot of) is definitely not part of the PRC. The ROC's autonomy over Taiwan is incomparable to that of the Tibetan government over Tibet.
This brings me to another point, it is because of the ROC's autonomy and (sloppy) efforts of the Ma administration that nobody died in Taiwan due to melamine consumption. In Taiwan, there were only three cases of kidney stones in children, "perhaps dues to the tainted milk powders".
I am digressing; a post on the tainted powder will follow soon.
