AMUSING ANIT-DIPLOMACY VANDALISM
Some person had spray-painted the panda sculpture at 圓環. There was also banner that read, "我是黑熊,不是熊貓". The panda looks pathetic in the picture with black all over.
This is very obviously an attack on mainland's offering of the two pandas. Besides protesting against the clever diplomacy, the vandal might have been trying to remind us of the endangerment of Taiwan black bears.
Despite all creativity in this form of protest, a vandal is still a vandal. He or she is going to be arrested for desecration of public property.
Note: The news station had the wrong title, a 貓熊 is a raccoon, not a panda.
