RISE AND FALL OF SON OF TAIWAN

There seems to be an air of anti-former-president Chen all around this blog. I just want to point out that he accomplished things other than stealing money from the ROC.

Rise:
- Lawyer defending for pro-democracy DPP pioneer.
- DPP pioneer.
- Legislator.
- Taipei City mayor.
- President of ROC, in a landslide election victory against the KMT.
- LEADER FOR THE "PRO-INDEPENDENCE" DPP.

Fall:
- Elected as incumbent.
- Stole, laundered, embezzled government funds.
- JUSTICE TAKES CHARGE.

Major things he did for Taiwan:
- Helped establish the multi-party system of the ROC.
- Bring more scrutiny to officials' use of money.
- Held off mainland from establishing ties, thus causing more tension across the strait, resulting in the USA selling weapons to the ROC for a longer time.
